‘아이에게 선물하는 특별한 하루!’를 주제로 곡성의 대표 관광지인 곡성섬진강기차마을에서 매년 10월 곡성심청어린이대축제가 열린다. 중앙무대에서는 인기 캐릭터 공연과 뮤지컬, 마술 등 풍성한 공연 프로그램이 운영되고, 또한 장미공원과 잔디광장 등 기차마을 곳곳에는 가족들이 함께할 수 있는 장미공원 어린이 미션 탐험대를 비롯한 어린이 놀이터 등 다양한 참여형 프로그램과 볼거리, 즐길거리를 제공한다. 온 가족이 함께 웃으며 특별한 추억을 만들 수 있도록 축제장을 찾은 가족들 모두가 주인공이 되고, 가족 모두에게 오래 기억될 특별한 시간을 선물할 예정이다.
