2016년부터 매년 10월에 개최하는 제주광어대축제는 광어를 소재로 한 국내 유일의 행사로 제주 양식광어의 소비 확대와 우수성을 홍보한다. 회, 초밥 그리고 어묵, 떡볶이, 파전 등 광어를 활용한 다양한 음식을 저렴한 가격에 선보이며, 제주 광어의 맛과 우수성을 널리 알린다. 제주 지역 대표 수산물 먹거리 축제로, 광어를 양식하는 조합원들이 정성껏 키운 광어 소재의 음식들을 저렴하게 판매하여, 도민들과 관광객들의 호평을 받고있다. 또한 제주광어노래자랑, 청소년 댄스 경연 대회, 어린이 사생대회, 광어,도다리 맨손 잡기 등의 각종 체험행사를 통해 도민 및 관광객은 물론 어린이들이 직접 참여하고 즐길 수 있는 다양한 프로그램이 진행된다.
