올해 축제는 '가을빛 놀이터'라는 컨셉으로 가을날 한강에서 종이비행기를 접어 날려보는 한강 종이비행기 날리기 대회와 종이비행기 국가대표의 강연과 시연, 온 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 체험, 공연, 포토존, 포토 타입 이벤트와 현장 이벤트 경기 등으로 구성되어 있다. 축제의 하이라이트인 종이비행기 대회 참가자는 1일간 진행되는 대회 특성상 최대 수용 가능한 인원인 총 700명을 사전 선착순으로 접수하며 온라인으로만 신청 가능하다. 대회 참가 신청을 하지 못한 참관객을 위해 올해는 "현장 이벤트 경기"를 운영하며, 이벤트 경기 종목은 당일 현장에서 공개될 예정으로 현장에서 누구나 참여가 가능하다.
