‘문화의 새로운 질주’를 주제로 장한로 700m가 하루 동안 차 없는 문화예술 거리로 변신한다. 차량 통행이 제한된 장한로 곳곳에서 공연·체험·시민참여 프로그램을 운영하며, 도로 자체를 하나의 축제 공간으로 재해석한다. 조선시대 군마가 달리던 장한평에서 근현대 자동차 산업의 중심지로 이어진 장한로의 역사성을 바탕으로, ‘말’에서 ‘자동차’를 거쳐 ‘문화’로 이어지는 새로운 질주를 선보인다. 특히 올해는 공연을 관람하는 데 그치지 않고 시민이 직접 축제의 주인공이 되는 참여형 프로그램을 강화한다. 장한로의 공간적 특성을 살린 이색 롤러장과 시민 차량을 활용한 내 차가 가게가 되는 날 등을 통해 도로 전체를 하나의 거대한 축제장으로 구성한다.
