About
'Geotjaing' blends the local dialect for 'let's walk' with the English '-ing', inviting everyone to walk and enjoy Geumnam-ro together. In line with Gwangju's declaration to become a 'Dae-Ja-Bo city' (public transit, bicycles and walking), the event aims to tackle the climate crisis and create a downtown street where rest and connection come together, including by promoting Dae-Ja-Bo. In 2026, it takes place on the first Saturday of every month from April to November, giving people space to walk freely along with a variety of hands-on programs and cultural performances.
