《소장품, 시대의 장면들》은 아르코미술관 소장품 가운데 70점을 선별해, 한국 현대미술의 주요한 흐름과 아르코미술관의 전시 역사 속에서 소장품이 지닌 의미와 가치를 조명한다. 1970년대부터 2000년대까지 아르코미술관 전시에 참여했던 작가 60인의 작품을 따라, 그 시기 한국 현대미술의 다양한 경향과 작가들의 예술적 성취를 다시 들여다본다. 작품 곁에는 작가들의 활동과 미술관의 전시사를 보여주는 아카이브 자료가 함께 배치 된다. 여기에 외부 연구자들이 이번 전시를 위해 진행한 소장품 연구 성과가 더해져, 한국 현대미술의 다층적인 이야기를 펼쳐진다.
