600여 년의 역사와 전통을 간직한 순천 낙안읍성에서 2026년 10월 24일부터 25일까지 '낙안(樂安), 즐거움을 쌓고 세대를 잇다'를 주제로 제31회 순천 낙안읍성 민속문화축제가 열린다. 조선시대 성곽과 관아, 초가마을이 어우러진 낙안읍성에서 남녀노소 누구나 전통문화의 멋과 흥을 즐길 수 있다. 축제의 시작을 알리는 낙안군수 부임행렬을 비롯해 수문장 교대식과 기마장군 순라의식이 조선시대 읍성의 모습을 재현한다. 주민들이 함께하는 백중놀이와 성곽쌓기, 줄타기와 전통무술, 김빈길 창극, 판소리와 가야금병창 공연이 풍성하게 펼쳐진다. 또한 대중가요 등을 만날 수 있는 '낙안 樂 페스타'가 세대를 아우르는 흥겨운 무대를 선사한다. 큰줄다리기와 씨름·팔씨름대회, 윷놀이 등 참여 행사와 전통 호패 만들기, 짚물공예, 활쏘기 등 다채로운 체험 프로그램도 마련된다. 지역 먹거리와 함께 과거와 현재를 잇는 특별한 축제의 즐거움을 느낄 수 있다.
