Haengun Jeon (the “Operator”) runs ALIVE FESTA (the “Service”). In line with Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act and related laws, this policy explains how we handle your personal information and how to reach us with any concerns.
| When | What |
|---|---|
| Signing in with Kakao | Kakao member ID, nickname, profile photo, email (if you agree to share it) |
| Signing in with Google | Google account ID, name, profile photo, email |
| Using the Service | Saved festivals; visitor reports (parking, crowd and food ratings, one-line tip), when you posted them and whether they were verified on site; reports you flag; festival stamps (which festivals and when); activity totals (number of stamps and reports) |
| Suggesting a festival | Who you are (resident, organizer, etc.), a contact phone number or email for checking, the festival details and photo you send. Your contact is never shown publicly. |
| Turning on alerts | Your device’s push address and encryption keys (issued by your browser) and a log of alerts sent |
| If you opt in to event & offer alerts (optional) | Whether you agreed to receive promotional messages, and when you agreed or opted out |
| Automatically | Cookies that keep you signed in and remember your language; access logs (IP address, time, browser) |
Location: we use your device’s location only if you allow it. The location used to sort festivals by distance stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. When you post a visitor report, we send your location at that moment to our server once to check that you’re near the festival. It is used only for that check and is never stored. We store only whether a report was verified (yes/no).
Event & offer alerts are optional; saying no doesn’t limit anything else in the Service. Promotional alerts start with “(Ad)” and are never sent between 9 pm and 8 am (Korea time). You can change your choice anytime under “Event & offer alerts” in My page, and we confirm the change on screen right away. We re-confirm your choice every two years.
When you delete your account, we immediately delete your account details, saved festivals, visitor reports, stamps and activity totals, alert settings and flag records. Access logs kept by our hosting providers for security may remain for a period set by their own retention policies before being deleted. Contact details sent with a festival suggestion are deleted one year after review, or right away on request. If you opt out of event & offer alerts we stop sending them; the record of when you agreed or opted out is kept until you delete your account, in case of disputes. Festival details and photos that were approved and published may stay in the app as festival information.
We do not give your personal information to third parties. However, visitor reports you post are shown to other users together with your nickname and profile photo, along with your member level (based on your number of stamps and reports). Which festivals you stamped is visible only to you. We may disclose information when required by law.
We use the following companies to run the Service. Some are located outside Korea.
| Company (country) | What they do | What is transferred, and how |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase Inc. (USA) | Stores member and service data (data center: Seoul, Korea) | Everything listed in section 1 / sent over an encrypted connection while you use the Service |
| Vercel Inc. (USA) | Website hosting and servers (region: Seoul, Korea) | Access logs and information processed while you use the Service / encrypted connection |
| Kakao Corp. (Korea) | Kakao sign-in, nearby parking search | Sign-in information / sent during Kakao sign-in |
| Google LLC (USA) | Google sign-in | Sign-in information / sent during Google sign-in |
| Your browser’s push service (Google and others) | Delivering alerts | Alert content and push address / sent when an alert goes out |
If you do not want your information transferred abroad, you can refuse by deleting your account. Features that require sign-in will then be unavailable.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it from our database so that it cannot be recovered.
The Service does not accept sign-ups from children under 14.
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but features that require sign-in will then be unavailable.
If this policy changes, we will announce it in the Service at least 7 days before it takes effect.
