1971년 우륵예술제로 시작한 우륵문화제는 악성 우륵의 가·무·악 예술정신을 계승하며 충주의 문화와 예술을 만나볼 수 있는 대표 문화예술축제이다. 제54회 우륵문화제는 ‘우륵의 울림 속에 내일의 충주를 담다’를 슬로건으로, 80·90년대의 문화와 감성을 현대적으로 재해석한 뉴트로 콘셉트로 운영된다. 전통과 현대예술이 어우러진 공연과 예술경연, 다양한 전시·체험 프로그램을 비롯해 청소년·청년·시민·지역 예술인이 함께하는 참여 프로그램을 만날 수 있다. 축제장에서는 지역 청년과 예술인의 창작품을 만나고 직접 체험할 수 있으며, 충주 농·특산물과 지역 먹거리를 즐길 수 있는 장터도 운영된다. 과거의 문화와 현재의 예술이 함께 어우러지는 제54회 우륵문화제는 2026년 10월 8일부터 11일까지 충주 탄금공원 일원과 충주시 문화회관에서 열린다.
