왕생로 빛거리축제는 울산 남구 왕생로 문화공원 일원에서 10월 3일부터 4일까지 이틀간 개최되는 야간 문화 및 상권 활성화 축제이다. 도심 속 유동인구가 집중되는 공간에 특색 있는 야간 경관을 조성해 시민들에게 문화 향유 기회를 제공하고, 방문객의 인근 상권 유입을 유도해 지역 경제를 활성화하는 데 핵심 목적이 있다. 현장에서는 미디어파사드, 가로수 라이트쇼, 레이저 반딧불, 빅미러볼 등 고품질 빛 연출로 야간 경관을 구축하고, 민경훈과 소향을 비롯한 초대가수 무대와 DJ, 버스킹, 거리극 등 다채로운 공연을 지속적으로 배치해 집객력을 극대화한다. 이와 함께 푸드존, 비어파크, 플리마켓, 체험 프로그램 등 체류형 부대행사를 병행 운영함으로써 방문객의 현장 체류 시간을 늘리고 인근 상점가 소비로 자연스럽게 연결되도록 구성된 사업이다.
